High Speed and High Responsivity. Based on Teledyne DALSA’s unique line scan CMOS sensor architecture, the new Piranha4 dual line scan cameras deliver the highest line rates in the industry with outstanding signal-to-noise. The P4-2k has 2k resolution with a 10.56 μm x 10.56 μm pixel size. The camera delivers a max line rate of 100 kHz in TDI mode, or up to 200 kHz in area mode. The camera delivers a throughput of 410 MPix/s using the Camera Link, and advanced chipsets allow cable lengths of ~30 meters and beyond. The GenICam compliant interface makes the camera easier to set up, control, and integrate.
The Piranha4 offers shading correction and flat field correction, and its HDR mode captures high gain and low gain views simultaneously, allowing you to combine them in postprocessing. Programmability includes exposure control, independent gain settings, as well a multiple areas of interest (up to 4 simultaneous) which allow you to focus on specific areas of an image and ignore the rest, reducing processing bandwidth and even simplifying cabling. -
The Chromasens 3DPIXA camera is based on the stereo principle, whereas two images are captured from the same object. Height data is calculated from these two images in real time with advanced pattern matching algorithms running on GPUs. This innovative merging of line scan technology and 3D stereo algorithms opens up the potential for new machine vision applications.

The Piranha ES camera family represents Teledyne DALSA’s latest generation of high sensitivity, TDI based cameras. With a maximum line rate of 110 kHz and throughput up to 640 MHz, the Piranha ES ES-82-04Kx0 provides the fastest speed available in a TDI camera. Camera alignment is also made easier with the selectable area mode of operation. Camera configuration is extremely flexible and the number of Camera Link taps, throughput, and line rate are all software controllable. The camera is capable of bidirectionality with up to 16 stages of selectability, while preventing overexposure with antiblooming.
